Paddling a canoe or kayak or rowing a small boat to present a fishing lure is a simple but deadly trolling presentation for most freshwater fish. What’s interesting is that many anglers opt for outboards or an electric motor for trolling. On big, choppy water this is likely the safer choice, but on small lakes, rivers and protected bays, manual trolling can often out produce a motor.
